We start school this next week! I can’t believe it! Having TWO kids in school now requires quite a bit more of planning and purchasing of school supplies and clothing. Thankfully, there are programs that are helping us get an amazing deal on excellent used clothing and giving back to the community in the process!

Schoola takes outgrown, kids clothes, sells them at amazing prices, and gives 40% of every sale to fund school programs for kids — programs like art, music, math and more. For every $5 you spend, they send $2 to schools. That’s an amazing amount to be given back from your donations each purchase!

That’s a really great program, if you ask me! You go through so many clothes with kids! There is no way you can keep up and buy new clothes as much as they grow out of them. I’ve always hit up garage sales and I had pretty good luck when the were little – but now that they are more elementary school age, the clothes aren’t as easy to find. So, when I hear about organizations like Schoola that give back to the community AND help you get a good deal – I’m all in!

We jumped at the chance to try them out! Ella, my 8.5 year old, and I went online and were able to search by size, brand and type of clothing. It was super easy and we found some really cute clothes! Ella picked out a whole outfit – shirt, sweater and jeans! So adorable and WITH shipping came to under $30! You can’t do that even with great sales in stores these days!

Don’t forget that you can also shop for clothing at greatly discounted prices and for every $5 you spend – $2 goes right to a community school that needs your help for quality art, music math and more! It’s a wonderful way to give back!

Here’s another way you can help!

 • Donate used clothing to be sold on the Schoola e-commerce site—designate your donation to KIPP or start a fundraiser for your own school

• Do your own shopping on Schoola.com—$2 of every $5 you spend goes to schools to save music, art, physical education, and other essential programs

• Help us spread the word and build an even bigger community to support fulfilling the potential of all kids at schools like KIPP Academy
