Back to school time is here and I’ve been gathering up my lunch ideas to share with all of you!

This year I’ll have THREE kids in school! I can’t believe I will be home alone during the day (working, of course!) for the first time ever! My mama heart is crying just a little but also excited for this new phase of life. The great thing about working at home is that I am able to get the kids off to school in the morning, attend their activities during the day when they come up and get them off the bus at the end of the day. It’s perfect for me!

I love to pack the kid’s lunch boxes several times a week. Thankfully we have pretty good school lunches, so we get a good mix of lunches from home and hot lunches at school.

But, this year our youngest, Sydney, will be heading to Kindergarten and she’s super excited to take her own lunch in her brand new unicorn lunch box. It’s so cute! And she’s so cute carrying it around. She’s been practicing for weeks!

I love the bento box insert inside! It’s perfect for little hands to just sit down at lunch, open it up and start eating. No need to mess with baggies and individual containers when there really isn’t a lot of time to eat.

I usually pack something yummy like cheese quesadillas, cucumbers, grapes, cheese snacks and a sweet dessert, like a cookie. What’s a lunch without a sweet treat?!

I also add in Sydney’s favorite, milk! She loves the Horizon® Vanilla Milk and always asks for it. So, I thought it would be a good idea to start her off right this year with all her favorites – including Horizon® Organic Aseptic/Shelf Stable Milk.

Great for lunchboxes, snacks, travel and more, Horizon® Organic shelf-stable milk boxes are a perfect alternative to juice boxes. You can keep them in the pantry since they have special packaging that locks in the delicious taste without refrigeration. You can even use in your daily cooking, baking or smoothie-making. It’s a great way to make sure your kiddos are getting the yummy goodness they need each day!

I also like to use Horizon® Organic Shredded Cheese in my quesadillas – Monterey Jack is our go-to cheese! It has the best flavor that the kids love!

I couldn’t keep Sydney away from this lunch box of all her favorites while I was taking photos to share with you! She made me promise I’d make this exact lunch on her first day of school! Not a problem!

Making delicious and fun lunches for your kids is a great part of their day and it doesn’t take much time at all. And it doesn’t have to be fancy – just keep it simple and delicious!

You can find Horizon Milk in your cereal aisle at Walmart –
