Winter has sure set in here in the Midwest. We woke up to bitterly cold temperatures – but the sun IS shining. Always makes it a little better when you can see that big ol’ ball of fire in the sky shining down on us.

We had a busy weekend full of Christmasy activities.

Saturday we enjoyed the Holiday Parade downtown. The temps were cold, but we bundled up and toted hot cocoa and coffee with us. Andrew was so into the marching bands this year and Ella loved the Rescue Dogs and Animal Protective League group and of course, they were very excited to see old St. Nick and Mrs. Claus! I actually teared up seeing their excitement as Santa came down the street. Such wonderful memories!

Sunday we visited with Santa at the old Train Depot here in our town. Santa was very nice and took time with each child talking about if they had been good or not and what they might want him to bring them this year. Andrew wouldn’t get too close, but my Ella hopped right up on his lap! I was surprised! She’s getting so big!

Today it’s back to the work week and back to lots of blog posts for you, my friends!

I have a few giveaways, reviews and holiday fun for you! Learn to make a bow,  a Holiday Brunch Casserole and the BEST Raisin Oatmeal Cookies out there!

So, check back….we’ll have something for everyone this week!

Don’t forget to enter a HOPE ornament from Kirklands to benefit Camp Charley.

Happy Monday!
