If you’ve been around for a little while, you know that I’m on a journey to better health for myself and my family. Through diet, exercise and essential oils, I’m making changes to my lifestyle to accomplish that! It’s not easy tho! Changing a bad habit for a good habit takes time, work and willpower for sure. Especially for a gal who LOVES to make yummy food and feed her family and friends well! But, I’ve started making smaller, less noticeable changes to make our meals healthier. Along with cutting out most processed foods, we are using white whole wheat flour instead of regular bleached white for baking, using whole grains in our breads, pasta and snacks and using coconut oil instead of vegetable oil. These are just a few changes we’ve made that has become a part of our daily life now.

Mother's Day

Along with making better choices, I’ve been trying to lose weight. It’s always been a struggle for me and doesn’t come without hard work and dedication. I swear my metabolism STOPPED after having my 3rd child. I always hold on to about 10 lbs MORE than I had before having my children after their births. So, that’s an extra 30lbs I’ve been lugging around for a couple of years and honestly….a little more. So, in May I started working out with my husband and kids – we made it a family affair. It was great! I lost a little over 20 pounds right away and then it stopped. No matter what I tried to do, nothing budged. I made healthier choices, worked out – even ran – most days. I hadn’t ran in my entire life and was now running up to 15 minutes a day with walking and even the elliptical. Nada. Nothing moved. It sure is depressing and discouraging to be working so hard and nothing happening. YES I was getting healthier, but I was still holding onto about 30 pounds of extra weight. So, then I received a call from a trusted friend of mine who happens to also be a doctor. He had been following my journey on Instagram and offered to help. I was more than excited to hear what he had to offer up for advice because I know him, his family and his mission to better health. What’s great is that he was offering me a natural solution to improving my health and weight at the same time!

Now, I would NEVER trust just anyone when it comes to a weight loss program that includes supplements. I’m not one to take any medications if not needed and would NEVER put any junk or chemicals into my body. Thankfully, I know that Dr. Adrian Walton at Springfield Weight Loss Center is not about “diet drugs” or even medication. He treats his own family naturally through chiropractic care and natural medicine. So, I knew this program had to be safe AND effective. After a brief consultation, we came up with a solution that would work for me and my family! NO special food, restrictions or craziness that you see from so many “diets”. This was a lifestyle change with the help of homeopathic drops that would boost my metabolism and help me drop these pounds that have been sticking around! I was so excited to get started that I could hardly wait! And knowing that they would be there every step of the way to support me weekly was major encouragement!

The plan Dr. Adrian came up with for me to follow was simple and just ONE of the many they can offer their patients! First – I would load up on food for two days before starting. I could have anything I wanted to get my calories up. WOW! I can do that! I would also do 7 drops 3 times a day during this phase. THEN, on the 3rd day I stared the losing phase. And, let me tell you – it’s been great!! I have two meals a day – lunch and dinner and take 5 drops under my tongue 3 times a day – seven hours a part. So, I use them at 7:30am, 2:30pm and 9:30pm. AND you know what’s great?! They have absolutely NO TASTE AND NO SIDE EFFECTS WHATSOEVER! NONE! I’m not kidding. The thing you’ll notice is that you feel better and have increased energy – which I’m sure is due to the healthier food choices, as well!

At each meal, I can chose 4 ounces of protein, 4 ounces of veggies, 4 ounces of fruit and either melba toast, 1/2 of a Flat Out wrap or a Grissini bread stick. This may not sound like a lot of food – but it is! It’s actually MUCH more than I was having before! I’m eating well balanced, delicious meals that even my family can have! I don’t have to make two meals – which is huge for this mom! AND I’ve been losing! I’m in my 2nd week of the plan and have lost 5 pounds! That is super exciting for me! I think that if I’m losing it slow and consistently – it will stay off. Plus, I’m not just “dieting” – I’m making healthy habits for my lifestyle that will work for a long time!

This is definitely going to be a journey, but I’m positive it’s going to be successful. With the support I’ll be receiving from the entire staff at Springfield Weight Loss Center, I can’t lose – anything but pounds, that is! I’ll be updating you all as I go along. I’ll be posting updates here, on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. So, follow along on my journey. Let me know if you have questions along the way. I’d love to be able to share what I’m learning to help you, as well. You should also follow Springfield Weight Loss Center on Facebook and Twitter. Their sites are full of great information daily!

Here’s to better health! I’m excited to see where we end up!

I must say your pics are all beautiful. So adorable. Keep writing, Kasey. Wish you all the strength!

  2. Hi Kasey, I was a regular reader until my internet got cut off for a while (just over a month – stupid provider error). I don’t see any new blog posts about the drops you are taking, how is it going?

I hope you don’t mind me asking, but are you still losing weight with them consistently?

Oh and I’m sharing the love for changing to coconut oil, did it myself recently. I use virgin cold pressed coconut oil, and everything just tastes fantastic with it. I do literally eat it off the spoon, lol 😀

    1. HI Linne, YES I’m doing ok. Slow and steady! Thanks for checking in! I need to do a post update. Not sure how I’ll do around the holidays, tho. haha! OH and I’m glad you share my love of coconut oil! YUM!
